Washington, D.C. — Congressman Tom Barrett (MI-07) today voted for the SAVE America Act (S. 1383), which would require individuals to show proof of citizenship when registering to vote and provide photo ID when casting a ballot. The bill passed the House of Representatives today with bipartisan support by a vote of 218 - 213.

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Tom Barrett (MI-07) today continued his work to provide oversight of the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), which will be rolled out at Michigan’s VA hospitals this spring. During a House Veterans’ Affairs Committee hearing, Barrett, VA Secretary Doug Collins, and Acting COO of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Gregory Goins discussed the impacts that reorganization of the VHA would have on the EHRM rollout.

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Tom Barrett (MI-07) and the Michigan Republican congressional delegation today sent a letter to Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson demanding answers about ongoing election integrity concerns in Michigan. The letter comes after Macomb County Clerk Anthony Forlini recently identified 14 non-citizens who were registered to vote.
