The Working Families Tax Cuts Act is historic legislation passed by Congress and signed into law by President Trump on July 4, 2025. This bill prevented the largest tax hike in American history, lowered energy costs, and permanently secured our border — all while protecting the integrity of Medicaid and SNAP for those who need them most.

Doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals in mid-Michigan’s rural hospitals and health centers work tirelessly to provide essential and life-saving care for the families and communities they serve. The unfortunate reality is that these facilities that operate in remote areas may often face unique financial challenges. This is in large part a direct result of decades of failed, excessive, and outdated policies.

When someone signs up and puts on the uniform to defend our freedom, they do so with an understanding that the United States will uphold its promise to care for and support them when they return home.

Russia’s unjust aggression against Ukraine has gone unchecked for too long. It’s time to negotiate a deal that will finally put a stop to the death and destruction, deliver a durable peace to the region, and prevent a wider conflict in Europe to ensure we keep American troops out of combat.

Washington can be frustrating—but even with all the noise, we are still able to come together and get real, bipartisan work done that makes life better for everyday Americans. This past week, I proudly voted YES on 19 bipartisan bills that do just that.
