The United States of America is the greatest country in the world because we are never afraid to lead by example. This week, the House proved that point by coming together and passing 9 bipartisan bills that send a clear message: America will not turn a blind eye to authoritarian aggression, forced labor, or human rights abuses around the world.

Serving veterans is one of my top priorities in Congress. This week, I was proud to help pass two bipartisan bills that take meaningful steps to achieve that goal — from protecting their health to defending them from financial abuse.

The men and women who put on the uniform to defend our freedom earned the best health care our country has to offer. It’s critical that we do everything we can to roll out the red carpet for our veterans and ensure they have access to the care they need, no matter where they live.
