Washington can be frustrating—but even with all the noise, we are still able to come together and get real, bipartisan work done that makes life better for everyday Americans. This past week, I proudly voted YES on 19 bipartisan bills that do just that. These proposals help small businesses, protect consumers, strengthen national security, and modernize how our government works.
The people of mid-Michigan sent me to Congress to do the hard work necessary to lower the cost of living, secure our border, and unleash American energy. Unfortunately, while I’ve been working hard to deliver on those promises, Democrats have been trying to scare people into believing the sky is falling when it comes to H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, that we are working on in Congress.
Washington bureaucrats should not be making decisions that limit our freedoms, hurt our economy, and make life more expensive. That’s why I was proud to vote yes on several important measures this week to roll back extreme federal overreach and protect the livelihoods of American families, farmers, small businesses, and rural communities.
